We founded our organization to address the intersection of environmental degradation and human rights. The web of life is interconnected and interdependent. When the habitat of any one species is destroyed, our own security and survival is endangered.
Humanity is currently pumping 37 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year, and the clock is ticking very loudly on this time bomb. Basically this century is all we have left to do something about it, or we will be in severely threatening unchartered territory vis-a-vis the ability of the planet to sustain human life.
There is no second chance. Once the earth's balance is decimated, we have no Plan(et) B.
"It's the little things citizens do. That's what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees."
- Wangari Maathai, Kenyan environmental activist.
"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world."
- John Muir
